Fundraising and Fundraising Buyout
Fundraising is an important part of our swim club. We have a Christmas wreath sale every fall that we encourage all shark families to participate in. However, we do have a buyout option. If you prefer not to sell the wreath, you can buyout the fundraiser. The buyout fees are:
Minis, A & B, Pre-senior and Senior- $100.00
High School- $35.00

Schedules

The A/B, pre-senior and seniors teams will begin practice on September 12, 2007. Mini sharks will begin on October 2, 2007. Schedules will be posted at SpartanSharks.com shortly.

Bus
As most of you know, we have a new bus company this year that will provide service to our school district. In the past, the bus company contracted directly with families and worked out individual deals as far a multiple drop off locations for children. The used to allow children to ride to swimming at no charge if they already rode the bus home.

The new bus company does not offer this service. In order to provide bus service for the sharks, the fees have changed.

The new fee for riders is $120.00 per child for the entire short course season. We will need 25 swimmers to participate in bus service in order for us to be able to contract with them for this service. That shouldn't be a problem based on past years, however, if many families choose not to ride this year, we may not be able to provide the service at all.

We will be collecting payments for bus service at registration. If we don't meet our quota, we will return your check an no service will be available. If we go over our quota, we may be able to reduce the cost for all riders and refund a portion of your money. We hope that many of you will consider using the bus option this year.

Forms
Registration forms are available on the sharks website under forms. (It's okay to use the 2006-2007 registration form for sharks but you must use the new USA swim form for the 2007-2008 season. You can find that form here.) Each swimmer must have a registration form and a USA swimming membership form filled out for registration. You can printe these online or fill them out at registration. We will have plenty of forms available that night.
